HE KNOWS MY HEART

Then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men)
— 1 Kings 8:39

‘He Knows My Heart’ was a fun little song that I wrote with God.

I wrote this song at time where the change that was taking place in my heart and in my character, was not yet fully revealed to all those around me. I remember thinking back and seeing how far God had brought me. I knew that there were people around me that still saw fault in me, who had their say either to my face or behind my back, but I knew that my Father in heaven knew my heart and that HE knew the truth.

Around this time, I had also had a realisation that while I knew so little, Jesus knows everything! I would sometimes look at the world and consider my own heart and life and see some of the tragedies that plagued it, and often this would consume me, but He saw my heart! He didn’t look at the outside, He didn’t focus on the ‘worldly me', but He saw my potential. He saw the ‘being’ that He had created for a purpose, and that was joyful for Him!

God joyfully loves me!

And His thoughts towards me are GOOD!

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
— 2 Corinthians 12:9

Throughout life, we have seasons in the valleys and seasons on the mountaintops. Regardless of where we find ourselves, He is there with us. He is strong in our weakness and all we need to do is focus on His face, know Him, and trust that His grace is sufficient.

Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
— Romans 8:27

We can’t help who people perceive us to be or what others think and say about us.
However, we can rest easy knowing that God see’s our hearts and our potential. He knows why we are the way we are, and He is bringing us into wholeness day by day and step by step.

Be encouraged, it’s a process.

May this song find you willing to do process with Jesus, for He is good, willing and able to accomplish the very work which He began in your heart.

Trust Him.

In Love,

Hannah Fay
