CROWN BY HANNAH FAY
What a journey it has been to finally arrive at the PRESALE OF MY VERY FIRST ALBUM! I cannot even begin to put into words what this journey has meant to me and for me. I have seen God do miracle after miracle in my heart, life and music. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the true starter and finisher of my faith. If you are just joining my journey, you have caught me on the tail end of a decade long season of being in process with the Lord, which has produced songs and melodies declaring the nature, goodness and love of God, even for those who feel they may have fallen from grace.
What a blessing it is to see the fulfillment of God's promises!
Crown is a musical interpretation of the last decade of my walk, each song sharing a piece of the story of my testimony.
I joined Forerunners International Ministries when I was 18 years old, known at the time as Gold Coast Prophets, as a very shy, rejected and shut down individual. With my hair covering my face, I tailgated my brother wherever he went, making every effort not to be noticed.
Over time, God slowly chiseled away at the tough, yet fragile surface of my heart, revealing the true Hannah Fay bit by bit. This began to stir up a well of creativity within me, and in 2008 I wrote my very first song, ‘Do You Remember’, the final track on the album.
It’s been a long road - a really long road actually, to come to the place of being ready to bring this album to life and put my heart out there for the world to see. It’s humbling, exciting, yet also a little scary, but I know that my music has purpose and carries a breakthrough anointing, so my hope for this album is that it reaches exactly those who God intends and that it will bring comfort and breakthrough to all those who need it.
I truly hope that you enjoy and are blessed by this body of work, because for me, it is more than just music on a CD, it is my life and my walk with God in lyrical form.
I would like to take a moment to make a few very special thank you's!
First of all, all thanks and glory be to God, without whom I would not even be here today. He is everything to me, so for Him, I lay down my life for His purposes, hopes and dreams. You have my heart and all of my love.
Thank you to my mother who has been my biggest supporter, whose relentless love and sacrifice has made a way for me to get to where I am today. Thank you for buying me my first guitar for my 16th birthday and encouraging me to pursue my passion for music.
To my late father, Rodger, thank you for loving me with your best. Through your own musical talent you inspired my passion for music from a young age, I honour and thank God for you.
To my family, my siblings Sarah, Tony and Shelli, my nieces Jordyn and baby Eliana, my sister in law Camilla and brother in law ‘to be’ Ben for their continued encouragement, support and for labouring with me through my times of growth and perseverance.
To my Leader, Lynne Hamilton, to Brett Hamilton and the leadership team at Forerunners International Ministries for recognising God's purposes for my life and creating opportunity for me to walk in my call and purpose, enduring the journey with me and seeing in me what I could not see in myself.
To all of you I am eternally grateful, literally.
To my beautiful friend, Bonita du Plessis at Write My Content for designing such a great platform for this album to reach others. Thank you also for being a kind, supportive and loving friend.
A massive thank you to Rachel Neden who painted the album cover art. You are incredibly talented and God has used you powerfully to capture the essence of this album in colour.
A special thanks to my producers Jen and Smudge at Bignote Productions for not only taking my songs in infant form and helping them grow into a mature body of work in the studio, but also understanding me and my sound, and staying true to my vision for my music. Your encouragement of my gifts in this process has been profound.
A heartfelt thank you to Jiro Togashi from Girophic for the excellent photography you so generously offered. May God bless you and your family abundantly!
Thank you to Paul Williams at Paul Williams Photography for his brilliant graphic design work, bringing my album cover together beautifully. I couldn't be happier with the end product!!
Finally, but certainly not least, a huge thank you to all of those who have encouraged me in my call and believed in the message of my music. To those who prayed, gave time, resources and finances towards the production of the album, you have blessed me and I am so grateful!
If you haven't yet had a chance, make sure to preview the album tracks! I can't wait to share more of this journey with you all!
